Our organisational or team offer
As well as individual, instant-book workshops, we’ve developed training sessions exclusively for your team or wider organisation, available for up to 50 people per workshop.
Our training directly supports the expectations set out in Families First and Best Start in Life guidance by equipping professionals across Best Start Family Hubs, education, safeguarding partnerships and front door services to better recognise, respond to, and safely address domestic abuse as a key driver of harm in the earliest years.
By strengthening confidence in identifying risk, understanding domestic abuse, and working in a coordinated, trauma-informed way, our sessions can help practitioners meet their responsibilities to provide effective family help, inform multi-agency decision-making, and safeguard babies and children where domestic abuse is a factor.
Available sessions
- For Baby’s Sake: Whole Family Trauma Response to Breaking Cycles of Domestic Abuse
- Recognising and Responding to the Impact of Domestic Abuse in Pregnancy and Early Childhood

Follow-up sessions
Evidence suggests that opportunities to revisit learning, reflect on practice and share experiences can help embed knowledge and support lasting change.
To help you consolidate and apply your learning, we recommend taking part in one of our optional follow-up sessions after completing the training. Dates will be made available following the training workshop for you to book onto.
We’d also recommend connecting with us via our newsletter, where we share relevant resources, examples of best practice, updates and opportunities to continue your learning.

Feedback from previous attendees
"I will be better equipped to identify subtle signs of trauma in babies and young children, especially in cases where domestic abuse is present but not explicitly disclosed. I can now approach discussions with families in a way that acknowledges the impact of domestic abuse without assigning blame, fostering a more open and supportive dialogue."
Previous Attendee
"The training was insightful and thought-provoking, offering a fresh perspective on how domestic abuse impacts babies and young children. I particularly valued the emphasis on shifting conversations to be more child-focused and trauma-informed."
Previous Attendee
"Really good refresher about the impact of domestic abuse on babies and children, as well as pre-birth and children being victims in their own right. Equipping me to confidently speak to parents about the impact during parenting assessments educating them as well as raise their own awareness."
